Clear My Way

There are times when our paths may appear to be bombarded with insurmountable obstacles. Yet there is no time when God is not available to help us get through. No amount of obstacle will be able to defeat a person fully committed to trusting and walking with God.

When we know this truth, we can approach God confidently, knowing that as we cry out to Him, He will answer us.

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you – Isaiah 43:2

The following poem was written at a point in my life when it seemed all the waters would swallow me up. What I found in this time was that God is very faithful concerning His promises towards us. Be blessed!

Clear My Way

Hands that fashion clay,
And turns the night to day.
Oh clear my convoluted way,
These are the words that I pray.

That you part my seas,
And clear my path with Your breeze.
Oh God may Your wrath be at ease,
You're the God who knows, and the God who sees.

My crooked path may You make straight,
And strengthen the loins of my faith.
See my depravity, here where I wait,
Oh my God, Your name is great!

And my God, Your grace is true,
Clear this gate I seek passage through!
All of my praises belong to You,
With the dawn of the morning Your mercies are new!

My God, my God, please don't leave me all alone,
Hear this melody and the stutter of my tone.
May Your will be done, upon Your throne,
My God My God, strengthen this dry bone.

Oh hands that fashion clay,
clear my crooked way!
